Hi Mike,

Yes that would be great! I'm not really a programmer that could write a
packager for it, but would be happy to write a mini-HOWTO in exchange :-)

Drop me a mail at kaspro (a t) web -dot- de

Thanks in advance,

Chris

Subject: Re: [Openca-Users] Smartcard usage with OpenCA

Hi Chris,

I've spent some time on this myself (with the help of a smart summer
student!) and put together a utility that enrolls and renews certs/keypairs
on Aladdin eTokens under Windows OSs. The utility was built using the open
source Windows installer package NSIS and basically implements all the cert
generation steps using available utilities and libraries from OpenSSL,
OpenSC, and sscep and working with an OpenCA RA. The software is not
packaged or documented fully yet but if anyone is interested, drop me a
note.

Mike

I was just wondering if somebody has a couple of links handy for smartcards
with OpenCA...

I want users to be able to generate pins on their card and send the request
directly to the RA - the actual smartcards shall be used for S/MIME and/or
Domain Logons, mostly M$Win systems (also the requests shall be sent by
windows).

I don't have the equipment with me yet, and am still working to get the full
functionality of OpenCA in my mind, but I find it quite hard to find howto's
or similar re this topic. (e.g. smartsign claims to to something like this,
but there's no docs at all.)

Any help appreciated, thanks to all the developers for such an amazing piece
of software!!!

Chris
