Hi Ralf, with IE you need an extension because there is no support for IE to sign a PKCS#7 file. For Firefox/Mozilla you should:
1-Have a valid certificate installed (and correctly verified by the browser) that is issued by the CA you are acting as a RA for; 2-Have the 'master' password set - for some reason if you do not have that set, the signing will not complete properly. In any case, if you were able to sign requests with previous versions of OpenCA, you should be able to do so with the new release as well, the code did not change.
