Well, the assumption is that the node interface is there on the RA to
allow data exchange - anyhow you might just install it and not use it
because your configuration uses a shared DB. This will enable you to,
eventually, change your configuration in the future and use two different
DBs.

If you think this might be a security issue, you can install the Node
interface in a directory which is not accessible by the web-server.
