Hi John, actually I agree with you - the complexity of the PKIs, both from the management and final-user points of view, is enough to scare even the most techy person.. And this is reflected in the User Interfaces... I am trying to work on it - especially by leveraging the PRQP which should help in automating a lot of processes and strip the needed configurations in applications to potentially (almost) none.
The 1.0.2+ of OpenCA improved the user interfaces by adopting dynamic menus.. but I know there is still much work to do there... one step at a time... :D ... anyway, I do really appreciate feedback - critics help to make the design/software better :D Thanks, Max John A. Sullivan III wrote: [...]
<snip> Glad to help although it wasn't quite what I expected. I'm sure I was reading into your email but I thought it was a survey to improve the web interface to OpenCA. It has improved markedly but still can be tedious to use at times. Some of that is the unavoidable complexity of PKI and nothing to do with OpenCA but some is web interface design, e.g., the inability in most cases to act on multiple items at once. Not complaining - I really appreciate OpenCA and use it extensively - just passing along some feedback - John
