Hi Ben,

it is actually very easy to do that. There are a couple of options here.
First, you have to install the online components ('make install-online')
on one machine and install the offline ones on another ('make install-offline').

Then you have to decide if you want to share the same DB or not. If you do,
you just configure the same DBMS on the two different installations (edit
the etc/openca/config.xml file). Then you do not even have the need to
use the 'Data Exchange' (eg., exporting/importing) from/to the online/offline
interfaces.

If you want to have two different databases, then you have to setup them
separately and you can use the import/export procedures to exchange data
between the nodes. Also, you will need to edit the config.xml file
accordingly (check the end of the file).

The old documentation - which is still valid for most part - is available
here:

   http://www.openca.org/projects/openca/docs.shtml

Let me know if you need specific help with that...

Cheers,
Max

After a bit of fumbling around, I'm finally successfully logged into
the OpenCA admin on my local server. Before I get much further, my
*goal* is to have the offline stuff local, and the online componenets
at a public/hosted server.

To that end, I visit @ the wiki,

"Installing OpenCA on Two Nodes (separate DBs)"

which, unfortunately, states,

"(There is currently no text in this page)"

Are there any docs for this procedure available?
