This issue is related to this one:

This issue occurs when you try to view the certificate from the CA
interface. The other occurs when you try to reach Valid Certificates from
the Public interface.

I guess you installed OpenCA in x64 environment.

I gave a try to OpenCA. I installed in x64 environment (Ubuntu Lucid Lynx)
and I went through the same issues. So I installed OpenCA in x32 environment
(Ubuntu Lucid Lynx) and tada... everything works like a charm.

So I guess Open CA is not compatible yet with x64 environment.
