Hi all,
sorry to disturb again, can anybody give me a hint, how to resolve the issue ?
With firefox everything works, but the users have to export the generated cert
from firefox cert store and then import it again into the microsoft cert store,
not really convenient
As said, using IE8 to generate a CSR results in the error described below.

regards
Michael

Betreff: Cert Signing Request - Win7/IE8

Hi Everybody,

we have a problem with CSR in Win7 / IE8,
I installed latest OpenCA 1.1.0 and the fixes found here
http://mm.cs.dartmouth.edu/wiki/index.php/UI_Issues

When I try to create a new cert signing request ("browser certicate request") I
can fill all forms, when selecting the Cryptographic Service Provider a popup
appears. After changing the suggested settings I can now select a CSP, but
regardless which CSP I select, a new popup appears,
which tells that the level of security has to be changed to medium-low.

The level was already decreased, the site of the CA server was added to the
tusted sites and the activeX option is actived (as suggested by the first
popup, before I was able to select any CSP)

IE8 Build Version 8.0.7600.16385
Win7/64bit

With Firefox a succesfull CSR can be created.

I attached a screenshot of the popup

regards
Michael

BTW : is there any updated documentation about openca available ? Maybe some
draft ?
