my Name is Felix Georgie, I am new to the list, but not completeley new to
OpenCA. Hopefully someone can help me understanding how to solve the
following challenge.
I would like to have a CA where there two independent RA's are connected to.
As far as I found documentation regarding that topic module_shift seems to
be the thing I am looking for. The docs say:
request serial ::= order number * 2^(MODULE_SHIFT) + MODULE_ID where every
module has it's own id and the module_shift has to be configured.
My CA is already installed and has working RA/PUB on the same host. The
module configuration is untouched so far and certificates already issued.
Now I would like to install a second RA/PUB on another host. Now the
following questions arise:
Is it enough to change the module shift and module id's for RA and PUB on my
new RA Host?
Or do I have to completely reinstall my CA+RA1+Pub?
What is the best approach for my intnded setup for module_id's and module
shift?
Every hint is welcome. Thx in advance.
