By the way is it possible to release something like a pre-snapshot to make 
integrationtests or to freeze the structure after the next release to prepare 
a snapshot with DBI-support? (insert configurationcode to the scripts , write 
howtos for confs, implement switch for DBM/RDBMS-code ...)

It's a long way.
