Hi there,

Hereby I want to inform you about FreeSET project,

FreeSET is a SET Wallet application written completely in Java:

allet.html
We are trying to incorporate the follow features in the program:
- cardholder certificate is stored on the Java card
- the dual signature is implemented completely on card.
- the program does not depend from deployment platform.
- the installation experience are eliminated.
- the source code of the program is in public domain.
The program consists from mobile and personal parts.
The mobile part is implemented as a signed downloadable
applet on the top of jdk1.2 and runs in browsers with
Java Plug-In 1.2 support.
The personal part wrote for Java Card 2.1 compliant chip cards
covers certificate management and SET-specific dual signature issues.
Card are accessed through the OpenCard framework Version 1.1.1.
We have tried the PCSC as well as slightly modified Java Comm API 2.0.
The applet works with Reflex 60 and PCT 200 readers and
G und D Smart cafe 1.1C cards at the moment.
The access to the resources on the local host is managed
by JAVA 2 policies.
Although the work has not to be finished,
the preliminary results are presented on URL
