Hi Erik,

The Open Card Framework is a Java API for "terminal-side" applications that
use a smartcard.  Java Card is a Java Platform for smartcards; it's for
programming applets that run on the card, as opposed to running on the
terminal.  Open Platform is a specification for installing applets onto a
smartcard; part of that specification is a Java API that assumes a Java Card
is being used.
