DSTC has released an implementation of OCF CardServices for the
Gemplus GPK4000 series of cryptographic smartcards. Please see

The primary purpose of this implementation has been to enable GPK4000
smartcards to be used from within the Java Cryptography Architecture
(JCA), and in particular with our cryptographic toolkit JCSI
http://security.dstc.edu.au/projects/java/release.html
built on top of JCA and JCE (Java Cryptographic Extensions). To this end
we have built a JCA Provider on top of our CardServices implementation,
and a GPK4000 "personalization" tool integrated with JCSI.
Our implementation of the OCF CardServices FileAccessCardService,
FileSystemCardService, SignatureCardService and KeyImportCardService,
while still incomplete, may also be of wider interest.
