Hi, I have worked on smart card technology at high level and I am currently working on low level internals. I have got lot of queries with respect to OCF complaincy. Can anyone of you please address to the concerns I have. I would be thankful for your reply. Queries: 1. When we are developing an application complaint to OCF standards, can this application be integrated with another vendors readers and cards. If so, what are the requirements to be met from the second vendors point of view? To be precise, if I change card service to another card service from another vendor in opencard.properties file, do i need to change anything in my application? 2. Does OCF card services provide any encryption/decryption security libraries? 3. Is it possible to store the session key on the card if we are using symmetric key cryptography? or the application has to take care of the session key? 4. Is it possible to write the OCF complaint reader/terminal drivers externally from application developers perspective? ie. I have a PC/SC complaint reader and I would like to work with a OCF complaint card. Can I install the OCF complaint drivers on to that reader. If so, how? 5. Can we differentiate the core services and extended services from different vendors in which core services are the basic services that every vendor supports and extender services are the additional features provided by the vendor? Are there any regulations implied on different players in smart card industry to differentiate basic services and additional services?
