Hi,

If I am not wrong, you can only read/update data to a transparent file upto 255 bytes. 
Are you sure you are able do it for 300 bytes? Please double check it and confirm.

This is true atleast when you are communicating with the card at the APDU level. In 
this case, you are given only one byte for the length(both in read<Le> & update<Lc>) 
which is 255.
