Hello,

It concerns OCF, so it's not, but for all questions regarding the
GemXpresso RAD product, you might have quicker replies if you post
a message in its dedicated web-based forum:

        http://www.gemplus.fr/developers/discus/index.htm

The people working on this product are very responsive to user's
questions on this forum (among them, Christophe, who happend to
also read the OCF mailing-list! ;-D).

As Christophe explained, the GemXpresso RAD Kit version 2 allows
you to perform applet management on the card (installation, remove,
etc.) and is currently based on OCF 1.1.1.

I just want to add some hints on how to use these CardServices in an
OCF 1.2 context, which seems to be your case.. According to the OCC
compatibility rules, all features that have changed or that have
been removed between 1.1.1 and 1.2 should stay for one version in
the framework code and be labeled as "deprecated". Unfortunately,
the 'opencard.opt.management' package, on which the current RAD is
based, has been forgotten from the 1.2 distrib (the new interfaces
are now found in 'opencard.opt.applet.mgmt', see RFC 11-1 for more
details: http://www.opencard.org/work/rfc-11-1/rfc-11-1.html).

A very simple solution is to make a jar file of this package from
1.1.1 and simply add it to your CLASSPATH or jre/lib/ext directory.
Such a jar is provided on our (very new) "Known Problems" page at
the following URL (see the "Opt Problems" section):

http://www.gemplus.fr/developers/technologies/opencard/faqs/bugs.html

Hope it helps.

Cheers,
Christophe.
