Hi eric,

I solved the problem, because I reinstall the win98 on my computer. I
mean, the smartcard reader should be connect first, after install other
devices, for example modems, or others. I have only one serial port in
my computer, this must be use by the reader. After reboot, in the
control panel you can see an unknown device, this is the reader and
works FINE!!!
Than you need the official driver downloaded from
gemplus.fr/developers, after reboot and you can use your application. I
don't know exactly, what was a core problem, but the reinstall was very
useful for me. Install first the visual cafe, after the javacard
manager, and in the future you can not get error:-)))

I mean, the smartcard reader not a "valid" plug'n'play device, because,
always want to connect through COM1. Other ports don't match in this
case.

regards, tdL
