I suspect that you should have "." set in your CLASSPATH before
trying this. Also it should be in a disk place where you are able
to read *and* write (I tried on a mounted CDROM and it doesn't work!).
This program is an "install-shield-like" program that was only
really tested on Windows. Several problems occur in Linux:
1) you must have at least a blackdown 1.2 Java (maybe it works ok
with new Sun or IBM 1.3 JDKs as well, I haven't tried)
2) it pretends to ask you where you want the install to take place
*but* always put OCF in /usr/OpenCard/ :-(
3) I had a memory exhausted at the end :-( (w/ 64M of RAM and 128M
of swap! which should be more than enough, I thought) but it
worked nevertheless..
Anyway, to summarize, you'd be much better with downloading from
the OpenCard web site "BaseOCF.zip" (core and optional parts of OCF)
and "Reference_Impl.zip" (drivers). Simply unzip them in the parent
directory where you want "OCF1.2/" to be, e.g., in /usr/local/ and
you will have everything needed.
Note: I suggest to download the lastest version of Gemplus CardTerminal
from http://www.gemplus.fr/developers/technologies/opencard/ because
the one in OCF1.2 reference is an obsolete one.
Also, be sure to check our Prerequisites page:
http://www.gemplus.fr/developers/technologies/opencard/faqs/prerequisites.html
for indications on where to find the Comm API for example (in case
of troubles, I can send you a compiled version that works on my
RH6.2 workstation.. :-).
Hope it helps.
Cheers,
Christophe.
