Hi Ilias!
I'm also working (trying) with a Towitoko reader. I set the readers.cfg just
as You wrote and I got the correct name. Why is it so imporrtant to You, to
set the READER_NAME property? I think it's completely irrelevant, You can
write there Your name. The most important properties are the port number and
the dll name.
Your readers.cfg file have to be in the OCF1.2\LIB directory.

tory' for compatibility with pc/sc migration drivers. In the very spartan
documentation of Towitoko the file readers.cfg is mentioned that has the
following entries:
> # Only needed for smart card readers with migration interface
> Reader[1]
> PORT_NUMBER = 1
> READER_NAME = TOWITOKO terminals
> DLL_NAME = gen_twk.dll
> The name of the terminal that is reported back to me nevertheless is not
'TOWITOKO terminals' as I expected. It is the default 'IBM 5948-B02 Card
Terminal'.
