Hi,
I would suggest you take a look at the IBM J9 virtual machine, available for
the Palm (and many other platforms). They have serial port support, so
running the embedded version of the OCF stuff should work. At www.oti.com
you can even find a free and very good development environment (VisualAge
Micro Edition), and the Palm runtimes. Highly recommended.
