Hello,

I've scanned through the archive and haven't seen anything regarding my
problem, but I think this is probably the right forum -- my apologies if it
isn't.

I'm trying to implement some or all of the 7816-3 functionality using the
Towitoko chipdrive, and am trying to detect when a card is inserted or
removed from the reader. Rather than polling the reader, I'd like listen
for some sort of notification that will let me know when the card status has
changed, so I can then issue the card status query. It appears that either
the ring indicator is raised or a null byte is sent from the reader when the
card status changes. Unfortunately, the notification isn't consistent
between RI and null byte, but at least one or the other is always sent.
Anybody else try this sort of thing?

I have a four page document titled ICC-Protocolls that covers RS232,
Chiptype 'I2C', Chiptype '3-wire' special funtions, and Transparent Mode.
Are there any other documents about the chipdrive available to the public?

Thank you!
