1) the APDUs you send to the cards usually go through the reader
2) the reader's OS usually do not particullary understand APDU commands
However, if you want to send any data byte to the reader OS, you can
use the "sendTerminalCommand" feature when (if) it's implemented by
the CardTerminal you use (see opencard.opt.terminal.TerminalCommand).
