You must have a version of SSL which lets you sign the challenge data (which
is needed when negotiating a connection in SSL) with the private key of your
smart card. As you never ever ever want to read the private key from / give
access to your private key on your smart card.
I'm not sure if there is anything in the OCF which accomdates this.
