DeRobertis ->> I'm writing a HC interpritor to compete with Velocity. Uli, how long did it take you to write that? Anyway, I'm writing mine from the ground up and thus we won't have any framework problems. And speedwise, I bet I'll beat Velocity (you may take that as a challenge, Uli <g>). A little competition won't hurt.<<- Good luck. I hope all goes smoothly for you. I think it will be good to look at two different interpreters if it doesn't slow down development too much. Uli ->> 1.6 Come up with generic application, window, menu (bar), graphics port and file etc. classes that hide things like the event loop, QuickDraw, file opening etc. completely so they are the only things that need to be ported to other platforms. <<- Do we want to use Drop Shell or something similar. It's wouldn't be hard to write this anyway, but it could save us worrying about exactly how we should put it together. I'll quietly work on getting some functions and commands that are application independent working as HC like as possible. I'll tell you more when I know more. Andre
