Sorry, I meant C++ framework. I had a look at YAAF last night. It is
actually quite good. It has a groovy constructor that creates real mac
resources and appropriate formats for windows. Sort of an interpreted cross
platform resource manager. The framework is quite small and there is not
much to learn. The footprint is around 100K I think. It is more starter code
than a full blown cross platform framework, but this could be just what we
are looking for. A small framework so we don't have to handle some of the
dirty stuff like cross platform resources and a cross platform text engine.
Both of these things are implemented as open source and would be easy to
customize. Maybe we could build our own OpenCard framework on top of YAAF.

I think we should write our own framework or use something simple like YAAF
and build whatever else we need onto it. It seems to be a more sensible
approach to me. If there is any classes we want from Whisper or wxWindows we
can just take it to our smaller framework.

Yar,

Andre
