FWIW, I noticed on the cygnus site that they have a port of gcc from 1996 for powerpc Macintosh- with a binary (MPW tool) and source. It should compile without a lot of work- I'll be trying it out later tonight. Of course this isn't as nice as getting egcs 1.1.2 up and running, but it might be more than enough for writing a compiler. And it's a port done by the egcs folks, so that is reassuring. Anyway, I'll check it out later and report back. Brian
