We'd be happy to include some limitations or qualifications on this if
it's going to be a problem. Our primary concern is not that nothing
will get done, but that people will use the MetaCard licenses for
commercial development instead of for UI development on "OpenKard" (or
whatever it is eventually called). That and not giving your license
keys to non-members are the only things that are non-negotiable. And
we can probably even arrange to void the no-commercial-use clause as
a bonus for releasing version 1.0 of the UI. By that time, commercial
use of the UI would actually help to improve it.
