Mark,

everything has its time and place, and at this _time_, this list is the
_place_ for licence discussions.

I think having an FAQ is a great idea. Especially on questions like "what
is MC's role", "what is our objective" etc. I don't have much time at hand
to do something like this, though, with our theatre premiere coming up. I
can hardly keep working on my stuff and keep current on the messages on
this list.

>#3. How about then if we get volunteers and/or nominations so we can select

While basically a good idea, a community clerk would need to have his
competences clearly outlined. The community clerk should be the one to
usually organize votes, but others should be allowed to override the clerk
and also call for votes. Else, the clerk could hold up progress, or even
turn into sort of a dictator.

My natural choice for community clerk would've been Alain, but I gather
he's pretty busy right now, so if Alain doesn't want to assume this role,
I'm fine with having Mark do it if the others are. Still, Alain being our
community-guy, it's only natural to ask him first.

As for voting systems, I think percentage is good since it gives a much
clearer picture of opinion. But we have to intelligently evaluate votes. If
a topic gets the majority because everyone gave it 20%, we should only see
it as the lowest common denominator.

So, I think we should do mere polls most of the time, limiting actual
votes to business decisions and to finalizing decisions that have already
been confirmed by polls.

Cheers,
