But, with the added hassle of annual meetings, posts... Well, let me fantasize: Assuming I have the resources; which organization is better? Partnership - flexible, easy Corp - secure Purpose - creation of a freeware. Partnership is better. My answer would change if the business were later to become a profit oriented entity, or if it were to be sold. Or if the charity did dangerous things like driving trucks, construction, power lines etc. It is quite unlikely that a computer will blow up in the end users face after all. Given the low risk (software crashing a system? carpal tunnel syndrome? Really, _the business risk is torts (accidents), Contracts pose a risk as well, but the potential damages are much lower.
