I'm speaking of "secret voting democracy" as defined by Uli.
* Everyone is here voluntarily
* No one's life, civil liberties, or property is at stake
* We are not creating trade secrets or for-profit products
* We are not conspiring to overthrow any specific government
The partners decide through open discussion and public (not secret) voting.
Can you imagine what response Eric would receive if, when invited to become
a partner in a major law firm, he said "I'd love to be a partner; but I
don't want anyone to know who I am or how I vote?
I'll say it once more: "We are not running a society, we're collaborating
on a not-for-profit joint creative effort".
PS: If someone tells me privately that Bill Atkinson, Dan Winkler, and
Kevin Calhoun want to participate but must remain anonomyous, that's
another story.
