Hi! I sent a copy of a draft partnership agreemtn to Uli K. because of my problem with linux and attachments. It is only a draft but is reasonably complete. I have no internet over the winter holiday. So I shall not write again till mid january. As for commitment, I can definitely keep drawing icons - it takes little time, is fun, and would help both MC and freeCard. Regarding GUI: Scott gave me some hints and since MC is providing a superbe lite product I am happy to continue prototyping a mac GUI (because I do not have a PC). I am planning on using chicago, blue text, on a cream backgroung. Scott gave me some hints for modifying the palettes. I do not _promise to deliver a GUI because that would be rash. I promise more icons. I plan to modify the MC gui at least cosmetically, depending on my time (for I must slay the thesis dragon). As far as legal stuff, since i know the subject its kind of secondary. Do understand that once you release a ware into the public domain, your monopoly disappears. So the 'easy' (bad?) license would be simply 'this stuff is public domain' - then no one can claim to own it. Course licenses can also be conditional. Which is my next project. So Uli will post the agreement to the net and let me know what you think of it. It is just a draft, and any of it can be changed. Best wishes and happy holidays, Eric Engle ____________________________________________________________________ Get free email and a permanent address at http://www.netaddress.com/?N=1
