$400? That's really much. We have about 100DM max (and that includes three
numbers). Or were you talking about a one-time installation fee? We skipped
that by doing it ourselves.

We have. Telekom had the monopoly, but now there's others like Viag
Interkom, Mannesmann, TelDaFax etc. But many of those focus on cell phones.
There's also a few long-distance carriers, but ISDN and local calls are
still very much Telekom. But with that much competition prices have already
dropped considerably. We don't have flat-rate yet, though, which is why I'm
always so picky about online chat etc.
