Alain: Were they aware of HyperCard ?

> Mark Rauterkus: Any other insights on BETA?

Alain: Not yet. Among other things, I am waiting for
feedback from our current FreeCard programmers. But
mainly I have been insanely busy.

Alain: My HyperCard/CGI educational web-sites system
was not working at all like it used to in the previous
millenium. I suspected that I had some kind of
Millenium bug, despite the fact that my bugs (yes,
more than one) had nothing to do with the date. I now
suspect that they have instituted some changes in
JavaScript that came into effect this Millenium. The
Jury is not out on that one yet, though. I achieved my
goal by other-means ... that turned out making my
whole system much faster, much more reliable, much
better :) I'm so happy, it tingles all over! If it is
true that the satisfaction one derives from an
activity is proportional to the effort invested to
achieve it, then one must conclude that, in some
respects, scripting is more satisfying than sex!
;-))

Alain: And now, I have a few days off to indulge into
anything that I wish. Well, not anything. I still have
to work, but I can work on what I want, without the
pressure of a critical-deadline to meet. So I am going
to dedicate some time to our FreeCard Collaboration,
at last. It has been quiet lately. Uli has posted a
few messages concerning "optimizing chunks", but there
has not been much else. I have had no feedback
whatsoever on my last volley concerning the
licencing/partnership issues. Meanwhile, I am going to
adapt the system that I alluded to above so that it
becomes our web-site and collaboration
infrastructure(s). Appropriately enough, my system is
pure HyperCard.
