  Then I guess the next to best solution would be just creating a file 
format that splits different parts of a block file into separate 
files. This way we can download each file separately, like it happens 
with HTML pages. Not as convenient as real streaming, but more 
universal.

  Since Apple has open-sourced the Darwin Streaming Server (I guess 
that's the QuickTime streams), maybe we could piggy-back on that 
train once we get there. There'll be a solution available certainly.
