 Well, I think Quesa or wxWin use this version numbering scheme then. Sorry
if I mixed that up, I thought someone there had said they were using the
Linux scheme.

 Naah. That's too unobvious. The version numbers should really look
different for pre-releases, so people see at one glance whether it's a
stable or unstable version.
