To my knowledge Javax.comm 2.0 only supports the JDK 1.1 security model,
not the JDK 1.2 security model.
You can run applications using javax.comm in a signed applet, not in an
unsigned one under JDK 1.1.
You can instead use some browsers' security model, e.g. we have worked
successfully with
Microsoft Explorers JVM.
