Dear Sir,
you could find a comparison of OCF and PC/SC on
http://www.opencard.org/index-docs.html.
OCF and PC/SC are both running on the host computer or terminal which is
connected to the smart card via a reader device.
Java Card instead is Java ON the card itself. The decision if you take Java
Card is independent from the decision to take OCF (or PC/SC) on your host
or terminal.
To take Java Card and OCF would make it easier for you in a way take both
are Java.

Subject: [OCF] Comparison !!!
Dear All,
I am new to this group and to the topic also. Before writing this mail I
read OCF,PCSC and JavaCard smart card standards.
Among these standards I feel OCF is the right choice for my requirement but
I would like to know the advantages and disadvantages of each. Is there any
site/web page which gives comparison among these standards.
Another question:
I am going to write an application (may be in C/Java/VB) which reads
customer id and PIN from the smart card. How can I make available this
information to my Java Applet ???
Your help will be most appreciated.
Regards,
