Hello,

I am new in the list. I am a Smartcard developer. We work with
microprocessor asynchronous T=0 smartcards (TIBC and WG10). We have
developed some app using C++.

Now we would need to access smartcard chip through the Internet. We have
been searching information about how to do it. The most important to
solve is the access to serial port through the navigator, and I think
that we have to do that using Java.I have downloaded the Java(tm)
communications API to communicate with serial port and we will develop
an signed applet to be able to do that. Is this the best way to do it?

But this will obligate us to develop again all code in Java and we will
not be able to use the developed code in C++. Is there other way to do
it and to profit the work done (asp, Javascript, VBScript...)? For sure
it has to be possible to access with any navigator.

About OpenCard, I have seen that is an access technology to SmartCards
using Java. How do you work? Do you have any library? Can I develop
based in OpenCard?

Thanks in advance,
