Jon, if you use OpenCard Framework and the OpenCard CardTerminal for the ChipDrive, which you can get from Towitoko, you should be fine, as long as your Java Application runs on Windows, because as far as I know the ChipDrive CardTerminal uses some native windows code. But you should check that with Towitoko again.
