Hi, you do not necessarily need javax.comm to run OCF. OCF for Embedded Devices (see http://www.alphaworks.ibm.com/tech/ocf4embedded) needs a CardTerminal class that complies to the specified Interface, but ithis CardTerminal implementation may use other ways than javax.comm to communicate with the reader. If you have a way to send commands to the reader and receive the responses, it is sufficient.
