Hello again,

I am also bothered by the following problem: It's still concerning the same
scenario which I described in
http://www.opencard.org/archive/opencard/2680.html. Prior to the encryption
I generate a Keypair by using the KeyPair.genKeyPair() method for a 512 bit
RSA-keypair. When I use the Gemplus simulator in debugging mode everything
appears to be ok. The key is generated and I can extract the key components
accordingly. No problem with that, but:

When I try to do the same with my Gemxpresse 211pk/is card I get a strange
statusword:

CMD: GenRSA
-> 80 50 00 00 00
<- 90 00 6E 00
=======================  getPublicMod
CMD: getPublicMod
-> 80 51 00 00 00
<- E7 40 B4 57 82 5E B5 67 1E 9C 76 0C 83 FE EB F1 F9 D7 39 47 A5 9D BD 3E
BF 22 18 49 29 78 5A 36 FE 74 04 DD AA FF 0B E8 C7 93 24 FD 60 8A 79 D4 E4
4C 14 74 F6 0D BE 38 5B 6F FE 35 A2 3E 7A CA B7 35 90 00 6E
=======================  getPublicExp
CMD: getPublicExp
-> 80 51 00 01 00
<- E7 40 08 4E 07 58 E9 2D A8 81 38 06 77 85 A3 C3 EE E7 74 61 D2 44 A3 54
62 64 E5 8D 68 F5 7B E2 10 71 9F 7F 8D B1 F6 00 54 C6 F0 DB 5E B2 E7 B9 D7
44 B9 56 BB 77 0E 88 A0 42 30 62 A7 C3 39 FA 2F 79 90 00 6E
What does that mean? The 6E 00 as a SW would mean that the Class Value is
not supported, but it definitely is supported.

When I do the same in the simulator I get:

CMD: GenRSA
-> 80 50 00 00 00
<- 90 00

CMD: getPublicMod
-> 80 51 00 00 00
<- 40 B1 58 40 6E 94 43 12 B5 4C 53 AB 03 EE 87 66 A3 66 6D 55 6E 45 D4 8E
63 48 6F B7 AA 4C 39 80 C1 8C C3 B7 6F 97 F1 F5 1A 06 0A 7A 33 B5 DA E7 57
4E 9B 03 A6 3E D3 E1 6D B2 C6 C4 88 83 5C 71 87 90 00
=======================  getPublicExp

CMD: getPublicExp
-> 80 51 00 01 00
<- 03 01 00 01 90 00

Why is the length of the exponent that different? The exponent in the
simulator is always 03 01 00 01.

What is wrong with the SW above? Why does it work in the simulator and not
on the card? Does this have anything to do with export restrictions?

thank you

Marcel
