Hi EveryOne,

According to the ETSI standard standard, for example, to READ an EF, I need
to satisfy CHV1 access condition. I plan to keep the CHV1 access code in
the Mobile Equipement (ME) (i.e. stored in EEPROM) so that by having CHV1
on-hand, I can verify it against CHV1 inside SIM card to gain READ access
rights. I'm still in the SIM testing phase, but then I read more of ETSI
standard, they say the following:

"Subscriber related security codes (e.g. CHV and Unblock CHV) may be kept in
the ME during the execution of the appropriate SIM/ME interface procedure
(e.g. verifying or changing a CHV). They shall be deleted from the ME
immediately after completion of the procedure." (REF: GSM 02.17 ver 8.0.0,
page 9).

The above statement contradicts with my original idea. Does anyone have a
suggestions on how to know what CHV is at all time in order to VERIFY it
against the what's inside SIM card?

Thanks for your suggestions.

Tai
