You obviously have no understanding of net "etiquette". Every mail you (and I) send to this list is inevitably downloaded by someone. Somebody pays for the bandwidth. You are shifting the cost of your advertising onto the recipient. This is widely acceptant as tantamount to theft. See http://www.cauce.org for some people who are obviously "un-American" by your reckoning. If this method of advertising is really working for you, then open your own mailing list specially for "smartcard hot deals" and leave the OCF technical list alone. To be fair to you, the OpenCard list "charter" from opencard.org says: "The main emphasis is, of course, on OpenCard, but we don't frown on you if you discuss smart card issues at large." So the mandate is pretty vague... but even then I'm not sure that your adverts are considered "discussing smart card issues at large". There's no discussion involved! So, now we have both polluted the list with irrelevant junk, I will stop. I hope that you will too. You're a good salesman! I'm sure you won't have any trouble selling these cards without resorting to list spamming.
