Well, I think that probably wont be necessary. The OCF people I've met are all very nice & decent, and you wouldn't gain anything by this route. Many companies would shy away from using a technology which has schisms in the background.
Personally, I wouldn't be willing to get involved unless we had thier blessing. Nice to see such enthusiasm though :-) Jon. -----Original Message----- From: Hal Hildebrand (web) [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 20 January 2002 20:24 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [OCF] Status of OpenCard.org? I'm not a lawyer, and I don't even play one on TV, but the way I read the license for OCF, it seems that an open source project doesn't even need their permission to start. Anyone have a real reading of this? Know an IP lawyer? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Pringle" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > I think it's an excellent suggestion, especially given that OCF is falling > apart. > > --Steve Pringle > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: Jon Barber [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > > Sent: Sunday, January 20, 2002 11:56 AM > > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > Cc: Rinaldo.
