Hello Opencard.
Don't even know if there's anybody out there ;o)
We have an application which uses a number of card readers, including readers for
which we have created opencard implementations ourselves.
In the application we might have several terminals configured, but all are handled
from within the same application. It could e.g. be a gas station, with several pumnps
each equipped with a card reader.
Now we would like our application to use the available pumps - say the ones which have
been powered or just the ones connected. The problem (using the IBM implementation) is
that the add method of CardTerminalRegistry calls open() on the terminal. If this
fails for some reason (no power, not connected) a CardTerminalException is thrown. If
this happen the start method is not completed - and the application eventually fails...
Any help is appreciated - we could ofcourse modify the add method but....
Regards
Bo
