No, it's not.


Is there anybody who successfully used this reader
with own written programs and Java cards?

Yes, the Sun internal reader supports most any T=0 cards. I'm not sure what our offical position is on T=1 card support for that reader.

You can use the Sun-proprietary SCF APIs to talk to the reader
or you can get the PC/SC-to-SCF shim which is a layer that
provides a PC/SC lite API on top of SCF (the shim is available
from the MUSCLE website I think).
