I'm looking for people who are interested to join a JSR proposal to add input devices to the JavaCard API.
The JavaCard API javacardx.input could add support for tiny input devices like (e.g.) a numeric keypad (or a 5-digit combination lock on a JavaCard USB stick). This proposal might fix two serious problems of multi function cards: (1) Interception of the pin code between input device and card. (2) Secure selection of the [group of] applets allowed to communicate with the outside world at a given moment.
