--- Comment #62 from Kevin Brace <kevinbr...@gmx.com> --- Hi Christopher, I found 2 similar bug reports that are very similar to the situation to you are in. http://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/144669/via-chrome-9-hc-graphics-card-causes-blackscreen-on-centos-6-5 http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2220006 What unites your situation and these 2 cases is the following message. "DRM memory allocation failed -6" If you search through your first Xorg.0.log you posted, you can find the above message. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=118249 You will see the same for the 2 other messages. Although it is unlikely to fix any issue, is it possible your can adjust AGP aperture size from the BIOS setup? Although the graphics might be integrated, they "appear" like an AGP device from software, hence, many BIOSes provide a way to adjust AGP aperture size via BIOS setup. Another temporary workaround can be to change the SO-DIMM size (i.e., increase or decrease) to see if the situation changes. At this point, I am just suggesting these test cases because I suspect a bug in allocating memory via DRM.
