After upgrading from Debian 7 Stable with openchrome-0.2.9.6 to Debian 8 Stable with openchrome 0.3.3.1 X is black but the system works fine with vesa driver. startx from console reports DRM allocation failures. Compiling openchrome from git repository did not help. (FujitsuSiemens laptop with VGA compatible controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. CN896/VN896/P4M900).Is there an easy fix?
