Simply remove the line that says 'Load  "dri"' from your xorg.conf.  
That will disable the use of DRI/drm.  Or delete the drm.ko and 
via.ko modules, or move them somewhere where the kernel doesn't 
look for them.

It may be, though, that you can't compile openchrome when some of 
those things are too old.  If that is indeed the case, please 
report back.
