One thing that I noted is that opening X doesn't make it consume 99% cpu all the time, but opening any X client makes it use 99% CPU for some time. Opening xterm (just after starting X) on the openchrome "black window" made Xorg consume 99% cpu for almost 2 minutes, and then after these 2 minutes I can see the xterm (but the rest of the root window is still black, instead of gray). Then, if I move the mouse, Xorg will start consuming 99% cpu for some time again. Does this information help a little bit? > > Benno > -- Paulo R.
